I walk back to the old town square and look for a restaurant. I see a sign for a place, but it's on the first floor and the entrance looks like a house entrance. I sense a great place and take the stairs up : The old wooden door opens and I am in the middle of what I would call my grandmothers living room.
An older gentleman welcomes me and explains the menu de dia to me and I realize that my Spanish is still not good enough to understand it all. I am always scared to get some ears, noses or organs as it is a culinary speciality in many Spanish cities. So I choose the soup and chicken to be on the safe side.
The soup is fabulous: green cabbage, white beans and potato - now it's realy like my grandma's place.
After visiting the museum I walk back to the other side of the city where my hotel is. On the way I pass by a house with the sign of a ciropractiker offering massages. I ring the door bell:4th floor and climb up the stairs. A small older gentleman opens the door and sees by my appearance that I am a pilgrim in ne of a massage.
The table is next to his doctor's table and he start to refurbish me."You have big arches under your feet - check your colon when you are back home". I did not know that I have an issue. " have you been drinking beer?" Well I had a glas of wine. "Your right colon is swallen", he analyses and puts an interesting flat stone on that side of my body.
What can I say: the guy did a great job and charged only €50 for 90 minutes.
Now it's back to my hotel and change for the pilgrim mass. lights out at 9 as the walking will start again at 6 am - no rain in the forecast - I will leave my Chinese ambrella behind:)) it's hard to sleep though as Spain scores one goal after another in their EuroCup game and the whole neighborhood celebrate with all their heart!
