From Leon to Hospital de Orbigo ( 35 km )

This morning it is colder than the other days - only 7 degrees Celsius (44 Farenheit) - and I am glad that I bought gloves the other day to put them to good use now.

The way out of Leon passes by all sights again - especially beautiful: the Basilika de San Isidoro, looks mystical already from the outside at this day light. After climbing up a little hill I have a last glance on Leon from its  so called balcony and am out of the city.

No other pilgrims to see for the first 3 hours of my trip which I don't understand as there seemed to b hundreds in Leon yesterday. So it's just I, me and myself with the rapidly changing landscape and
dozens of rabbits.

Villa de Mazarife was supposed to be my destination today. But since it's only 9 am and there is no coffee shop in this whole village - I decide to go on to Hospital de Orbigo. Only in Villavante I find an open cafe a joined to a hostel which gives me my first and second cup of café con laiche and a Croissant with cheese and Bacon. Since I am on this pilgrimage I threw overboard all my diet rules: I eat whenever I can as much as I can since I am burning a lot of calories 5000+/day).

In Orbigo I must realize though that for the first time I did not make the best choice for hotels: I have been trusting booking.com so far and did well with it. My hotel is 1,5 km from the Camino and is part of a gas station next to the country road - oh well, it's only one night and with €36 very affordable.

I am getting ready though for an interview via Skype with a head hunter from Hamburg. Since I am traveling without business clothes - go figure - I bought a dress shirt and tie which I will be wearing together with my hiking shorts. I hope the head hunter won't ask me to do any standing or dancing:))
and will show her my business like upper body only.
