From Burgos to Castrojeriz ( 41 km )

the left foot made trouble yesterday, but looked so much better this morning. Like all the other nights I dreamt intense - hope you don't get nightmares from my foot picture:))

The trip today passes by endless corn fields - how much bread can one nation eat? - and spring flowers gracefully decorate the path for miles and miles.

Oddly the way leads directly through the ruins of the old Monastary San Anton.

In Castrojeriz I am staying in a small boutique Hitel by the name  of Emebed. The lady at Che k in gave me a room all the way under the roof - she must have mistaken me for somebody who likes to climb up stairs after this long day. My room has 4 wooden beams under the ceiling which hopefully won't cause any head damage on my side as it is clearly meant for a much smaller person. After a massage  I am off to evening mass and later diner in the hotel. Enjoy your evenings!!!
