But I get up and get going even though my left foot bothers me a lot.
I pass by the padre from Puerto Rico." I cannot keep up with you today - I am walking like a turtle", he complaints pointing to his Achilles. " Stop wining and keep walking" I respond with a smile; "Buen Camino!"
Once out of the forest the land opens up wide. Burgos is to be seen already from the far.5 km before the city though I realize that I need help with my left foot - I stop a truck and ask to be taken into the city - the drivers agrees immediately and drops me off in front of a hospital. Inside I have to do the formalities first and pay my €73,75 consulting fee. The doctor does not know what to do with my foot and calls a nurse. She grabs som jod and wipes of the 2 nd toe. Then she tapes it and recommends to keep the foot still for a day or so. Back outside I am wearing my flipflops, because there is no way my foot goes back into that hiking boot. I rush to the hotel and rest for a while before I get up to visit one of the most interesting sights of the Camino.
